Monthly Spotlight: Something to Keep Your Eye On!

Event: National Injury Prevention Day, November 18th

The Injury Free Coalition for Kids and its National Injury Prevention Day partners are pushing forward with efforts to stop injuries and violence -- the number one killer and cause of hospitalization of people from ages 1 to 44 years old. For the fourth year in a row, Safe Kids Worldwide, Safe States Alliance, the American Trauma Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, Be SMART -- a program of Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, The Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research, the Trauma Center Association of America, and JPMA Cares will join forces with Injury Free to raise awareness and empower communities to change. Events are being held at the local and national levels nationwide. Learn more about what's happening in your area and join in the efforts on November 18, 2023, National injury Prevention Day!

This November, in observance of National Child Safety and Protection Month, help federal and state policymakers, state injury and violence prevention leaders and practitioners, community leaders, educators, health and social service providers, and families promote and improve the safety and well-being of all young people.


Webinar: Building Equity in Injury and Violence Prevention Program Strategies

Webinar: Building Equity in Firearm Injury Prevention Efforts Through Equitable Collaboration and Communication

The 2023 MIPA Virtual Conference – All Systems Go! Injury and Violence Prevention Through Innovative Discovery and Practice will be held virtually on November 30, 2023. Check-in and networking will be held from 8:30-9:00 A.M. CDT, and the conference will be held from 9:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. CDT. The conference is free to attend but registration is required.
